The PUMA HD DEX 1/2D is one of the most powerful vacuums in the Depureco range, engineered for heavy-duty extraction of combustible and explosive dust in classified ATEX areas. It is ATEX-certified for dust Zone 21 and 22, and its internal collection chamber is independently certified to Zone 20 — so the dust stays safely contained even inside the machine. That makes it suitable for capturing reactive metal powders and combustible dusts in total safety.
At its core is an ATEX-certified 3D side channel blower, available in 18.5 kW and 22 kW motor configurations, giving the airflow and vacuum needed to feed large centralised suction systems. A vacuum limiter valve protects the blower for genuinely continuous running, while an automatic SP filter-cleaning system pulses the cartridges clear on a set cycle — so suction holds without stopping to service the filters.
Filtration runs through four antistatic polyester cartridges in Class M, with integrated grounding to discharge static safely when handling dry and conductive dust. The whole unit carries the ATEX marking II 1/2D Ex htc IIIC T140°C Da/Dc and CE certification, and is designed for permanent installation in centralised systems handling fine, dry and clogging powders — the kind of low-maintenance, high-uptime workhorse that keeps a production line extracting across a long service life.
The suction unit is a manufacturer-certified Atex side channel blower with direct coupling between motor and impeller. The Side Channel Blower is equipped with a safety valve that ensures continuous work, without any maintenance.
The tangential inlet facilitates the cyclonic effect to deposit the sucked material in the container. Filtration is provided by two progressive efficiency filters installed in series: a primary star polyester filter in class M (filtering efficiency 1 micron) with high filtering surface area and a secondary absolute filter in class H14.
Automatic filter cleaning system in reverse flow of air at 6 bar (compressed air not supplied as standard). Each filter is cleaned at regular, alternately adjustable intervals without interrupting suction. Ideal for fine and difficult dust.
Thanks to its 1D – Zone 20 certified chamber, the vacuum cleaner guarantees maximum safety and compliance when vacuuming combustible or conductive dusts (Group IIIC), even when these are contained within the unit.
