The BL 20 JC DEX is an ATEX-certified portable industrial vacuum built for the safe extraction of combustible and conductive dusts — including conductive type IIIC dust — in classified dust environments. Compact, sturdy and easy to handle, it is designed to pull medium quantities of very fine, dry and clogging powders while staying quiet enough for occupied work areas.
It is supplied in two ATEX configurations. The 1/2D version carries the marking II 1/2D Ex h IIIC T140 Da/Db for Zone 21 dust areas, while the 1/3D version carries II 1/3D Ex h IIIC T140 Da/Dc for Zone 22 — and in both cases the collection chamber itself is certified to Zone 20 with Category 1D internal protection. Complete grounding and an antistatic polyester cartridge filter keep the whole system safe against static build-up.
At its core is a brushless motor rated at 1.1 kW, chosen for durability and low maintenance over long duty cycles. Filtration runs on two progressive levels: a class M primary cartridge in antistatic polyester, backed by an included H14 secondary filter, with the Jet Clean system clearing the cartridge on the fly so suction and efficiency hold without stopping work. A 20-litre collection container and brushless drive keep routine maintenance and running costs down across the machine's service life.
The vacuum unit is a powerful Brushless motor, suitable for continuous work. Two filters are installed on the vacuum cleaner head: one to protect the motor and the other placed on the air outlet. The air that comes out is totally filtered
The vacuum cleaner equips two levels of progressive efficiency filtration installed in series: a polyester cartridge filter in class M (filtration efficiency 1 micron) and an absolute secondary filter in class H14.
Thanks to its 1D – Zone 20 certified chamber, the vacuum cleaner guarantees maximum safety and compliance when vacuuming combustible or conductive dusts (Group IIIC), even when these are contained within the unit.
The material is collected inside an AISI 304 stainless steel container, complete with a metal handle that allows its release, to avoid any sparks that could be generated by the electrostatic charge.
