The BL 45 DEX 1/3D – 1/2D is an ATEX-certified industrial vacuum built for the safe suction of combustible and conductive dusts, including Group IIIC, in classified explosive-atmosphere areas. Its safety is confirmed by certification from an external body rather than self-declared, and it is rated for intensive, continuous work. The machine is supplied in two configurations: the marking II 1/2D Ex h IIIC T140 Da/Db covers Zone 21 areas, while II 1/3D Ex h IIIC T140 Da/Dc covers Zone 22 — and both carry a Category 1D certified internal chamber rated to Zone 20, so combustible and conductive dust stays contained safely even inside the unit.
At its core is a brushless motor rated at 1.1 kW, specified for continuous duty rather than short bursts, in a compact, sturdy body that is easy to handle and move around a busy site. The BL 45 DEX is as versatile as it is certified: alongside dry combustible dusts it will collect fine, dry and clogging powders as well as wet powders or solids, so a single certified machine covers a range of materials across the plant.
Filtration works in two progressive stages in series — a star antistatic polyester primary filter in class M, backed by an absolute H14 secondary filter — so the air leaving the machine is fully cleaned, and the whole unit is completely grounded for the safe handling of conductive dust. A manual filter-cleaning system keeps the primary filter working at efficiency between services. Engineered for certified, continuous-duty running, the BL 45 DEX is built to keep downtime and running costs down across a long working life.
The vacuum unit is a powerful Brushless motor, suitable for continuous work. Two filters are installed on the vacuum cleaner head: one to protect the motor and the other placed on the air outlet. The air that comes out is totally filtered
Filtration is provided by two progressive efficiency filters installed in series: a primary star polyester filter class M (filtering efficiency 1 micron) with high filtering surface area and an absolute secondary filter in class H14.
Thanks to its 1D – Zone 20 certified chamber, the vacuum cleaner guarantees maximum safety and compliance when vacuuming combustible or conductive dusts (Group IIIC), even when these are contained within the unit.
The material is collected inside an AISI 304 stainless steel container, complete with a metal handle that allows its release, to avoid any sparks that could be generated by the electrostatic charge.
