The BL 45 DEX 1/3D – 1/2D INERT is an ATEX-certified industrial vacuum engineered for one demanding job: the safe extraction of conductive metal dusts, including Type IIIC. Instead of holding combustible dust dry inside the machine, its explosion-proof system immerses the extracted dust directly in a bath of inert liquid held in the container, inerting it on contact so an explosive atmosphere cannot form inside the extractor. It is rated for intensive, continuous work in Zone 21 and Zone 22 dust areas, with a Category 1D certified internal chamber rated to Zone 20.
The machine is supplied in two ATEX configurations. The II 1/2D Ex h IIIC T140 Da/Db marking covers Zone 21 dust areas, while II 1/3D Ex h IIIC T140 Da/Dc covers Zone 22 — and both protect the internal chamber to Zone 20. When the bath needs emptying, a patented quick-release coupling lets an operator detach and reconnect the container in a single movement, without tools, so disposing of the inerted dust stays simple and safe rather than a slow, awkward job.
At its heart is a brushless motor rated at 1.1 kW, specified for continuous running rather than short bursts, feeding an H13 cartridge primary filter in antistatic polyester media that keeps the air leaving the machine clean. A hydrogen vent safety valve and a 45-litre container complete a unit built to run hard, day after day, and to keep the total cost of ownership down across a long working life.
The vacuum unit is a powerful Brushless motor, suitable for continuous work. Two filters are installed on the vacuum cleaner head: one to protect the motor and the other placed on the air outlet. The air that comes out is totally filtered
