Suction is generated by a venturi tube, a device that makes it possible to generate excellent suction performance without any kind of mechanical movement or electrical component.

The AC 1/2D is a pneumatic industrial vacuum built for plants that already run on compressed air. Its suction comes from a Venturi tube rather than an electric motor, so there is nothing to overheat, stall or burn out — and no electrical ignition source — which is why it is certified for work in explosive-dust atmospheres. It moves up to 480 cubic metres per hour of air and holds 500 millibar of continuous vacuum at a noise level of around 70 decibels, and it carries the CE and ATEX marking II 1/2D c T100°C.
ATEX certification covers combustible-dust Zone 21 and Zone 22, with an internal chamber rated to Zone 20, the continuous-presence classification. That makes it suitable for intensive, day-in day-out extraction of combustible dusts and production residues in areas where a standard vacuum is simply not permitted. Filtration is handled by an M-class antistatic polyester star filter with 24,000 square centimetres of media, backed by an H14 secondary filter included as standard and cleaned by a straightforward manual filter-cleaning system.
Beyond dry dust, the AC 1/2D also handles wet powders and solids: fit disposable collection bags for clean, contained dust disposal, or add a float switch to recover liquids. It is offered in multiple construction options, including 65 and 100 litre container configurations, so the same certified platform can be matched to the job rather than over-specified. The tangential inlet facilitates the cyclonic effect to deposit the collected material in the container. Filtration is ensured by a polyester star filter in class M (filtering efficiency 1 micron) with high filtering surface area, which guarantees air passage even with a dirty filter.
An ergonomic manual filter shaker allows the filter to be cleaned easily and quickly, removing dust and debris from the surface of the filter.
The material is collected inside an AISI 304 stainless steel container, complete with a metal handle that allows its release, to avoid any sparks that could be generated by the electrostatic charge.
