Italian-engineered by Depureco, the PUMA DEX 1/3D is a heavy-duty ATEX vacuum built for one job: removing combustible and metal dust safely, hour after hour. Suction is driven by an ATEX-certified side channel blower designed for continuous operation without the need for maintenance, which makes the machine a natural fit at the heart of a centralised suction system rather than a portable, single-operator tool.
Safety is engineered in, not bolted on. The unit carries the ATEX marking II 1/3D Ex htc IIIC T140°C Da/Dc: third-party certified for combustible dust Zone 22 in the surrounding area, while the internal collection chamber is rated for the more demanding Zone 20. Complete earthing and antistatic filtration keep static under control throughout the machine, so metal and explosive dust is captured in total safety.
Because it is designed to run continuously with no routine maintenance, the PUMA DEX 1/3D keeps downtime — and total cost of ownership — low across a long working life. Primary filtration uses an M-class antistatic polyester star filter, cleaned manually, and the machine is supplied in four motor ratings — 7.5 kW, 11 kW, 15 kW and 18.5 kW — so extraction capacity can be matched to the size of the installation rather than over- or under-specified.
The suction unit is a manufacturer-certified Atex side channel blower with direct coupling between motor and impeller. The Side Channel Blower is equipped with a safety valve that ensures continuous work, without any maintenance.
The tangential inlet facilitates the cyclonic effect to deposit the collected material in the container. Filtration is ensured by a polyester star filter in class M (filtering efficiency 1 micron) with high filtering surface area, which guarantees air passage even with a dirty filter.
Thanks to its 1D – Zone 20 certified chamber, the vacuum cleaner guarantees maximum safety and compliance when vacuuming combustible or conductive dusts (Group IIIC), even when these are contained within the unit.
The material is collected inside an AISI 304 stainless steel container, complete with a metal handle that allows its release, to avoid any sparks that could be generated by the electrostatic charge.
