The PUMA DEX 1/2D is an explosion-proof, ATEX-certified industrial vacuum engineered by Depureco for the toughest combustible-dust duties. It is rated for use in dust Zone 21 and Zone 22 atmospheres, while independent third-party certification qualifies its internal chamber to Zone 20 — so combustible and metal dust is contained safely even inside the machine. The full ATEX marking is II 1/2D Ex htc IIIC T140°C Da/Dc.

At its heart is an ATEX-certified side-channel blower, directly coupled for maximum power and built for continuous, maintenance-free operation — the kind of durability that keeps total cost of ownership low over a long service life. The machine is offered in a range of motor configurations from 7.5 kW to 18.5 kW, so it can be matched to the throughput of a single workstation or a large centralised suction system. A vacuum limiter valve protects the blower, and manual filter cleaning keeps day-to-day upkeep simple.

Filtration is handled by a star-type primary filter in class M, made from antistatic polyester, with complete earthing throughout to discharge static charge and keep dry, combustible-dust handling safe. Certified to CE and ATEX, the PUMA DEX 1/2D is designed to be built into centralised extraction plant where combustible dust must be captured continuously and safely.

SUCTION UNIT

The suction unit is a side channel blower with direct coupling between motor and impeller. The turbine is equipped with a safety valve to ensure continuous, maintenance-free work. A metal silencer is included as standard in the turbine to ensure a low noise level.

FILTER UNIT

FILTER UNIT

The tangential inlet facilitates the cyclonic effect to deposit the sucked material in the container. Filtration is provided by two progressive efficiency filters installed in series: a primary star polyester filter in class M (filtering efficiency 1 micron) with high filtering surface area and a secondary absolute filter in class H14.

Thanks to its 1D – Zone 20 certified chamber, the vacuum cleaner guarantees maximum safety and compliance when vacuuming combustible or conductive dusts (Group IIIC), even when these are contained within the unit.

The material is collected inside an AISI 304 stainless steel container, complete with a metal handle that allows its release, to avoid any sparks that could be generated by the electrostatic charge.
