The FOX SP DEX 1/2D is Depureco's explosion-proof industrial vacuum for the safe extraction of combustible dusts, including metal and explosive dust. Third-party ATEX certification covers dust Zone 21 and Zone 22, while the internal collection chamber holds Category 1D certification for Zone 20 — so the machine stays safe even when an explosive dust atmosphere is present inside the unit. Its full marking is II 1/2D Ex htc IIIC T140°C Da/Dc.

At its heart is an ATEX-certified side channel blower, protected by a vacuum limiter valve so it can work continuously without routine maintenance. Multistage antistatic filtration — an M-class primary of three antistatic polyester cartridges, cleaned automatically by the SP system and upgradeable to H14 efficiency — holds suction steady on fine, difficult dust without stopping to shake out the filters. As the manufacturer, Depureco has engineered industrial vacuums in Italy since 1972, and that experience shows in the way this machine is built to keep working.

Supplied in four motor ratings — 2.2 kW, 4 kW, 5.5 kW and 7.5 kW — the FOX SP DEX 1/2D can be matched to the duty and the number of operators rather than over-specified. With CE and ATEX certification, maintenance-free continuous running and automatic filter cleaning built in, it is designed for a long, dependable service life that keeps the total cost of ownership down across years of heavy industrial use.

Automatic filter cleaning system in reverse flow of air at 6 bar (compressed air not supplied as standard). Each filter is cleaned at regular, adjustable intervals alternately without interrupting suction. Ideal for fine and difficult dust.
