The DF 40 DEX 1/3D is a powerful wheeled industrial dust collector, ATEX-certified for the extraction of conductive and combustible volatile dusts in Zone 22 explosion-risk areas. Its internal collection chamber carries Category 1D protection to Zone 20, so the point where dust concentrates most is exactly where the machine is engineered to be safest. It is rated for type IIIC dusts — including conductive metal powders such as aluminium — that ordinary industrial vacuums are not built to touch.
At its core is an ATEX-certified three-phase fan rated at 4 kW, generating very high air flow. The DF 40 DEX 1/3D is offered in several performance configurations, letting you match air flow and vacuum to the duty — from open-hood capture through to a direct connection onto a machine or process line. An articulated extraction arm, a capture hood, or a hard connection to your equipment are all supported from the same platform.
Filtration uses an M-class Stellare primary filter in antistatic polyester media, so static charge cannot build on the element as it separates fine, conductive powder from the air stream. Cleaning is manual, keeping the machine mechanically simple and straightforward to service — a lower-maintenance path to a long working life and a lower total cost of ownership. Every unit is supplied CE- and ATEX-marked.

Filtration is provided by a polyester star filter in class M (filtration efficiency 1 micron) with a high filtering surface area, which guarantees the passage of air even with a dirty filter.
Thanks to its 1D – Zone 20 certified chamber, the vacuum cleaner guarantees maximum safety and compliance when vacuuming combustible or conductive dusts (Group IIIC), even when these are contained within the unit.
The material is collected inside an AISI 304 stainless steel container, complete with a metal handle that allows its release, to avoid any sparks that could be generated by the electrostatic charge.
