The XM 20 is the most portable industrial vacuum cleaner in the Depureco range — a compact, highly manoeuvrable machine designed to bring proper industrial suction right to the point of work. Where a larger unit has to stay put while operators carry debris to it, the XM 20 moves with the job, which makes it a natural choice for fine dust extraction across changing work areas. As with every Depureco vacuum, it is Italian-engineered by a manufacturer that has built industrial vacuums since 1972.
Driving it is a by-pass motor rated at 2.6 kW, paired with a high-surface-area star filter in polyester media for high filtration capacity and efficiency on fine powders. A manual filter-cleaning system lets the operator shake the media clear so suction holds steady as the filter loads, and collected material drops into a 20-litre container for quick emptying. The body is sturdy painted steel — built to keep earning its place on site over years of hard use rather than needing replacing.
The XM 20 is offered in multiple construction options, so it can be specified to vacuum wet powders and solids, or powders, solids and shavings, to match the material in front of it. It carries CE certification and is intended for ordinary, non-classified industrial areas; it is not ATEX zone-certified, so for work in an explosive atmosphere you should choose a Depureco vacuum built and certified for hazardous-area duty instead.
Suction is provided by 2 by-pass motors controlled by independent switches, allowing the operator to control suction performance. The motors are located inside a robust enclosure, with an insulating sponge to maintain a low noise level.
Filtration is provided by a polyester star filter in class M (filtration efficiency 1 micron) with a high filtering surface area, which guarantees the passage of air even with a dirty filter.
An ergonomic manual filter shaker allows the filter to be cleaned easily and quickly, removing dust and debris from the surface of the filter.
The material is collected inside a coated bin complete with a handle that allows its release. Thanks to the 4 sturdy pivoting wheels, the container can be moved with ease, and the collected material can then be disposed of.
